Granny Onion, Jane’s whimsical grandmother, has taken one last eternal after-lunch nap. She wrote her last wish on a piece of paper, but Cécile rules against it. Jane, on the other hand, has decided: she will set off on a wild escape to the edge of the tangible world, alongside her granny’s facetious ghost.

Granny is a Tree! is the follow-up to Hugo de Faucompret’s previous film, 26’ TV Special Mum is pouring rain. The film received the jury prize in Annecy in 2021, was shortlisted at the Academy awards, nominated at the Annies, and is still in theaters in France (over 200.000 admissions as of late December). Sold in more than 50 territories around the world, this first film also won the Best Export Award from Unifrance in 2022.
